24.05.10 - Skin cancer awareness evening on Tues 29th June
Photo Dynamic Therapy is a new treatment for non-melanoma skin cancer sufferers. It eliminates abnormal cells leaving behind only healthy tissue. PDT is also effective against pre-cancerous cells such as Actinic Keratoses - persistent scaly lesions found on sun exposed skin and Bowen's Disease - red scaly lesions often on the shin. There will be an open evening on Tuesday 29th June at our Melksham clinic, open to anyone wishing to find out more about this treatment, now available at the clinic.

We are throwing our doors open at both Melksham and Bournemouth clinics on Tuesday 22nd June and Wednesday 23rd June respectively. It's a chance for you to view our state of the art facilities, meet our team of experts and find out more about the treatments you are interested in.

29.04.10 - Young adults services arrive at Snowberry Lane Clinic in Melksham
Laser treatments are now available for patients age 12 years and over for hair removal and acne. Young skin can be effectively treated with no risk to health so there is no need to wait until the age of 18. Some radio surgery treatments are also available for this age group, which is particularly effective in combating moles, skin lesions and sun damage. 10.04.10 - No Scalpel Vasectomies arrive at Bournemouth Clinic
Patients have been offered no scalpel vasectomies at Snowberry Lane Clinic in Melksham since the clinic opened its doors in 2004. We're delighted we will soon be able to offer this service at our Bournemouth clinic too, pending imminent approval from the Care Quality Commission.
This procedure takes just 15 - 20 minutes and full recovery rates are 40 - 50% quicker than conventional vasectomy. It's a minimally invasive treatment with no need for stitches so there is significant reduction in post operative pain. Post operative care ensures patients are informed when the procedure has proved to be 100% successful so they know when they can cease to use other forms of contraception.
