"I first met with Dr. Gabriel at the Clifton clinic to discuss options. I have always been very self conscious about my ankles, a familial trait means that they are disproportionately large compared to the rest of me which is very slim. A few years ago I looked into regular liposuction but quickly learned that because the ankles are furthest away from the heart, they would repeatedly fill with fluid as a result of the trauma caused by regular liposuction, thereby negating any potential results.

So with regular liposuction not an option, SmartLipo seemed like a possible solution. I searched for SmartLipo doctors on the internet and found Snowberry Clinic. At my initial consultation, Dr. Gabriel said there would be much less trauma to the body with SmartLipo and it was therefore ideal for ankles. Furthermore he had performed the procedure on ankles before with very good results. Dr. Gabriel outlined all the risks, answered all my questions and I felt reassured enough to book in for the procedure at Snowberry Lane.

Snowberry Lane Clinic is 45 minutes drive from where I live. I decided that I did not want my family and friends to know that I was going to have SmartLipo, so I was pleased when Dr. Gabriel said it would be safe for me to drive myself home after the procedure. When I arrived for the procedure Dr. Gabriel went through the risks and aftercare again, drew on my ankles exactly which areas he was going to work on and I went into the mini surgery theatre. The two nurses attending talked to me throughout the procedure which kept me calm and reassured. Dr. Gabriel gave me a running commentary of everything he was doing and I had the choice of whether to watch or not. The procedure took approproximately one hour after which I drank lots of water and went through the aftercare instructions again with Dr. Gabriel.

I drove myself home as planned, slept well, took the tubigrip off and had a shower the next morning. My lower legs and ankles were very tender and bruised, but I reapplied clean tubigrip and got on with my day - I had to go to London by train for an interview for a course. I wore a smart trouser suit and heels and got through the day with no problems. Over the next three weeks, the bruises and soreness gradually went down, the tiny cuts healed over and I chose to wear black compression knee high socks as they were less conspicious than the tubigrip. I wore the compression socks for three weeks in all. I massaged my lower legs and ankles every evening as instructed by Dr. Gabriel. After five weeks, I ditched the trousers for a knee length skirt for the first time, the bruises were completely gone, the cuts visible only to me because I knew where to look for them and I have never looked back. I am so pleased with the result. My ankles will always be disproportionately bigger than the rest of me but I am OK with that because they now they have some shape and no longer look so flabby and weird. Before the procedure I only ever wore knee length clothes with boots, but not anymore. Of course I used it as a excuse for a whole new wardrobe! I am looking forward to a second summer with my new ankles because I know I can enjoy summer dresses and bare legs like everybody else.

To this day I have told no-one about having SmartLipo on my ankles at Snowberry Clinic and for me that is the best thing about it (apart from wearing the summer dresses of course!) - the procedure itself is so quick and discreet, no general anaesthetic, and importantly the recovery is managable - no time off from work is necessary, there is no scarring or long term maintainance either.

"I came to your Clinic for a consultation in regards to a mole I had on the left side of my face. I was extremely impressed at how understanding and considerate Dr Innes was at you Clinic for my situation. He made me feel completely 'normal' and was very empathetic as I explained the way I felt. Not only this, but he was very informative about my mole, both forms of removal, the processes, the best procedure for my case, the results etc - which helped ease me.

I decided to go through with the operation that day, within minutes I was being operated on using the 'wire burning method', which took no more than an easy ten minutes. I felt no pain at all during the operation and I almost could have fallen asleep! Afterwards Dr Innes explained that he believed it went very well and I thanked him for changing my life before I'd even seen the results, (really, this is how it feels) - I trusted him thanks to his professionalism.

I healed my wound with the 'wet healing method', applying Vaseline etc... within 1 week the scabbing had nearly all but gone! I cannot believe how well it has healed! Dr Innes informed me it can take up to 4 months for the scarring to fade, it all depends on certain factors. However, I'm not fussed about the scar fading (which is very minimal)...just to be at the point I am is more than I could've ever asked for. I'd happily keep it as it appears now. I am just that happy!

I realise I have written a considerable amount here, but I really wanted to get across how strongly I felt about the experience and I wanted more people to know. I want to commend your colleagues, your Clinic, you procedures and everything that came together that day to honestly and truly change my life both emotionally and socially.

I have been so happy since coming to your Clinic, I don't have to worry at all. I will be sure to advise people looking into the same sort of thing to definitely come your way.
