What is Cosmetic Radio Surgery and how does it work?Radio surgery is a modern and elegant method of mole and lesion removal without cuts or stitches bringing excellent cosmetic results. Is there any risk to my health or are there any side effects? The mole removal procedure itself is very safe although no surgery is without its element of risk. However, we take a full medical history before we proceed to ensure this risk is minimised. Unfortunately this mole removal procedure is not suitable for people with pacemakers. Will I need to take time off work?It is usually possible for you to return to work immediately after the mole removal procedure. What if I have more than one mole to remove? It is possible that these can be removed at the same time for a small additional cost. Please ask the doctor for details. Will I feel any pain once the anaesthetic has worn off?Any pain you feel will be minimal during mole removal, and should be just a little discomfort. This can be alleviated by taking simple pain killers such as paracetamol. Will the blemish ever come back in the same place? Some moles have a deep element and so recurrence in these cases is possible. A repeat mole removal procedure at a later date in these cases may be required. How long will it take for the area being treated to recover? The mole removal wound should heal within one to four weeks and a dressing may be required initially, depending on the size and site of the lesion. |
