The VISIA® complexion analysis system is arguably the most widely used image analysis system of its type in Med-Spa’s within the USA and here in the UK it has an ever increasing customer base.
VISIA is a complete, self-contained, surface imaging system.
From the initial data capture to reliable and repeatable imaging throughout the continuum of care, and image analysis across eight distinct elements four of which are in the standard light, two in Canfield True-UV™, and two using the cross-polarized filters combined with RBX Technology™ to focus upon the Red and Brown subsurface dermal analysis. The results are represented across three formats; Percentiles, Feature Counts and Absolute Scores. The Percentiles provide a context to evaluate a client’s complexion analysis results by presenting a comparison of the individual’s Absolute Scores to those of people with the same sex, age and skin type. The Absolute Score provide a comprehensive measurement of the impact that the feature has on the client’s complexion. Absolute Scores are used to track treatment progress when size and intensity of instances of a feature are the most relevant indicators of treatment effectiveness. The simulate ageing function within VISIA give the patient and practitioner a suggestion of where the effects of hyper-pigmentation, wrinkling and other signs of photo-ageing by sun exposure is going and the Mirror® Rejuvenation application software package an opportunity to assess though simulation the possible outcomes of the treatment regimes being proposed.
