We are very proud of being registered with the Care Quality Commission, but not everyone knows what this means, so in this week’s blog post we are going to explain who the CQC are and how we work with them.
The Care Quality Commission in their own words:
- Are ‘the independent regulator of health and adult social care in England.’
- They ‘make sure health and social care services provide people with safe, effective, compassionate, high-quality care and encourage care services to improve.’
One of our key principles is to maintain the highest standards of care with a medical leadership team. For this reason, we invite external regulation to ensure that we conduct ourselves with excellence at all times and are always striving to improve our services. The CQC carry out audits, spot checks and inspections of practices to ensure that their standards of care are being upheld.
We also know that it is very easy for a practice to self-promote their standards of care as higher than they might be, however inviting the scrutiny of an independent regulator means that this claim can be trusted and validated.
When you’re looking for a clinic to carry out a cosmetic procedure for you, we thoroughly recommend making sure that they are registered with the Care Quality Commission so that you know you are in safe hands.
